There has been an undeniable influx of high megapixel camera phones in the last few months. Many camera phones such as the Samsung Behold or Samsung Omnia are able to take comparable photos to mid-grade digital cameras on the market today.

Samsung has proudly proclaimed that their global sales of high megapixel cameraphones have topped the 10 million mark this year.  This mark was reached during the second week of this year. Our hats go off to Samsung and their amazing achievements. No official numbers were released but we believe there were more 5-megapixel cameras sold than 8-megapixle.

Some of the high megapixel cameras that Samsung is now pushing include the Behold, Innov8, Omnia, F480 and M8800 Pixon.  Nokia finally hit the 10 million mark for their high definition cameraphone the N95 back in April
