Deals continue to shift around in the mobile search industry, with Samsung the latest to sign a pact with a search provider for easy access on their handsets.  They’ve picked Google – who earlier this week cited the end of the “walled garden” mobile internet experience as reason for not being unduly concerned over T-Mobile’s switch to Yahoo! – a move perhaps precipitated by prior cooperation on the Android Project, the Open Handset Alliance of which Samsung is a member.

The deal will see Google search accessed from a direct shortcut, and the Google Maps for mobile and Gmail for mobile devices apps preinstalled on new Samsung handsets.  No financial details of their contract have been disclosed.
