The Ace isn’t the only new Samsung handset hitting Sprint today; they’ve also launched this slider, the SPH-M520, as a more traditional (and cheaper option) for those people who don’t want full smartphone functionality. Saying that, though, it’s not as if the M520 is especially lacking in any capacity: GPS, EV-DO, Sprint TV and Sprint Music Store compatibility, Bluetooth with support for the A2DP wireless stereo profile and web access are all squeezed into this 4 x 2 x 0.5-inch handset.

The M520 will also announce any incoming callers - useful if the phone is in your pocket and you’re using a Bluetooth headset - and can support microSD cards up to 4GB in size. In fact the only real disappointment is that they’ve made do with a mere 1.3-megapixel camera, which courtesy of MobileBurn we can see the results of; not bad, but it won’t be troubling any dedicated cameras.
You can pick up the M520 from Sprint today, priced at $49.99 after rebates and with a new two-year contract.
