Shortcovers has launched it’s eBook service, drumming up more competition for Amazon Kindle. Available to view via your smartphone, Shortcovers offers a free public domain for books, with new eBook titles start from only $0.99.



Offering a global service, Shortcovers was developed by Canadian Company Indigo Books & Music Inc.
Allowing users to “discover thousands of best selling books, chapters, news and magazine articles, short stories, blog posts and more, anywhere, anytime online and on your mobile device.” Titles are free for customers to access and browse through listings such as featured, popular, new and highly rated titles.

Currently selling titles in US and Canadian dollars, the ability to purchase via more international currencies is on the way. Free applications for Mobile phones such as the iPhone, Android and Blackberry are available for reading on the go. Shortcovers also offers you the chance to publish your own short stories, bookmarking, share favourites with family and friends or create a mix of titles to suit your style.
