Sony Ericsson announced numerous handsets today at their London launch event and we got an up close and personal look at all the new products. First up is the Aino, a touchscreen handset that slides and features an 8.1-megapixel camera, a 3-inch touchscreen, a numeric keypad and Sony Remote Play support, which allows users to control their PS3s from anywhere using their phone.

Apparently, if you don’t have a PS3, you can use Media Home, which allows you to sync your PC and media with the Aino over WiFi.

Also announced today was the Sony Ericsson Yari, which is motion controlled and allows you to play Wii-like games on your phone. Sensors are tucked away into the bezel for a combination of body movement, accelerometer and gesture controlled games. Other features include A-GPS, a 5-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, and more. You can get the Yari by the end of the year for the equivalent of $558 unlocked. You can view hands-on photo and video of both the Aino and Yari over at SlashGear.com.

Lastly, we got a look at the Sony Ericsson Satio today in hands-on fashion. The handset that was once called the Idou, now runs on Symbian S60 and features a resistive touchscreen. It also has a QWERTY keyboard. Load times lagged a bit, but that might be due to pre-production kinks. Other features include a handwriting recognition mode, Picasa integration and a Facebook client. The Satio is expected next quarter.

The new sony phones offer a great alternative to the HTC phones, battle time. I wonder when they will start selling it in the US.
