8-megapixel cameras in cell phones aren’t exactly new, but they aren’t super commonplace, either. And while we heard rumors about a phone called the Hikaru from Sony Ericsson awhile ago, it looks like this one’s for real and it’s making a comeback.

There really isn’t much information available about this one yet, but it’s definitely on par with the other Sony Ericsson phones sporting the high-end camera like the Walkman and Xperia. It’s not clear, however, what type of phone this will be.

This slider is likely to possess 8GB of storage, a QWERTY keyboard and other high-end specs. The photo above is just a mockup, but it’s seeming a likely visualization. Hopefully we’ll hear more about this one soon.
