A Sony Ericsson rep has let slip via Twitter that the company confirmed to release not only the new Xperia X2, but also the X5. “The big companies must hate their employees Twittering,” TechRadar wrote.
Harold de Kort, Sony Ericsson Marketing Communications Manager for Benelux, said on Twitter “Naturally, after the X1 comes X2, X3, X4 and X5. What else is new?” That leads us to believe that those handsets are in the making.

But, we should skip the numbering X3 and X4, according to UnwiredView, due to the negative connotations in some regions:
Where did 3 and 4 go? Well, 4 may have something to do with unlucky numbers in Asia, so it’s a no no. And X3 has some very unfortunate connotations in Russian SMS and Twitter speak (like in “who the hell knows” only replacing the hell with the F word…). Or maybe it’s just because X3 also translates to 13, which is a devils dozen and unlucky number in most Western cultures.
Last year Tech Radar got a leaked shot of the XPERIA X5 (see the handset’s picture above). Seems the Xperia X5 takes a turn towards reality…
