UK newspaper The Independent has been playing with Sony Ericsson’s K850i and W910i Walkman cellphones, and it’s down to syrup-voiced David Phelan to video review the two handsets. Despite seemingly filming both videos in a large, echoing warehouse, it’s a good opportunity to see demonstrated some of the newer features Sony Ericsson has been rolling out: SensMe on the W910i, for instance, which analyses all your tracks and plots them on a four-way graph of fast/slow, happy/sad.

Of course, the fact that both of these reviews are featured on Sony Ericsson’s own site means that there’s nothing particularly critical said about either of the handsets, and nor are they compared & contrasted with rivals such as the music-loving iPhone or anything from Nokia’s stable. However, if you’ve been jonesing for some hands-on time with either - and you can put up with Phelan’s slightly smug delivery - then they might just tide you over until you get a chance to visit your local phone store.
