The Sony Ericsson Kate Cyber-shot camera phone that we have been hearing about for a few months now has finally received the model number C510, not to be confused with the more fitting K510. We read that there are a few specification differences from what we were told a few months ago.

The first difference is the camera; the C510 will have a 3.2-megapixel camera rather than the 5=megapixel camera we previously heard about. The camera will still have the same features as before, including autofocus, smile shutter, face detection, Xenon flash and active lens cover. These features are what we have come to expect from Sony as far as mid-grade Cyber-shots go.
The C510 will also offer the Cyber-shot UI 2.0 displayed on a 2.2-inch QVGA screen. You are going to need to upgrade the memory is you are going to be using this handset as a camera because it is severely limited at 120MB. We are told the C510 will hit store shelves in about two months putting it in 1Q 2009.
