Sony Ericsson has managed to place themselves at the top of the Greenpeace green electronics list. If you’ve somehow missed seeing this meter in the past or you’re just curious about the reasoning behind the placement of the companies you can read up on them here.

Sony Ericsson received such high marks for showing reports that revealed all of their new phones since 2006 have been PVC free. They also reported on the amount of mobile phones that they recycle, which is the main reason they were bumped up on the list from 2nd place.
They lost some points though because of their lack of information they pass along to their customers on how they can recycle old phones. Now keep in mind some of the other companies have been marked so low because of their refusal to give information on what exactly they are up to. Hopefully those companies will eventually give more information and we can have a better estimate on who the greener companies are.
