Scant moments after the unveiling of Sony Ericsson’s Z555, W380 and K660 cellphones, Phone Arena have some hands-on images and general feedback. Two clamshells and a candybar, the handsets are all mid-range with reasonable – if not earth-shattering – functionality, although the external music controls of the W380 quite nifty.

Both the W380 and the Z555, shown above, are tri-band GSM with 1.9-inch 176 x 220 internal displays and OLED external displays; they also have a gesture-recognition system that uses the 1.3-megapixel camera on the outside flip to reject and divert calls and silence the alarm.

The K660, meanwhile, lacks the gesture recognition but does have HSDPA, an HTML browser to make the most of all that high-speed data, a 2-megapixel camera on the back and quad-band GSM.
