Sony announced their new S-Series which is their latest high-end digital audio player that sports a slim design, noise cancellation and even the SensMe suggestion engine. This one even includes 13.5mm EX headphones and a pass through cable.

Featuring a 2-in QVGA screen, support for most audio formats and more, this device promises to be a real digital audio contender. The SensMe engine is new for the Sony Walkman, though it’s been featured on Sony Ericsson Walkmans in the past. The engine works by analyzing a song, mapping it out on a chart and then gives you the option to select your music type of choice based on your mood.

The S-Series is super thin, measuring in at only 7.5mm. It provides you with 10 hours of video playback and 40 of audio. The S-Series will be available next month. According to Gizmodo, “The 4 GB S-series will cost $150, while the 8 GB will cost $180.”
