Spectec has a track record of making some ridiculously small WiFi adapters. They have an SD version, a MiniSD version, and soon, a MicroSD version. WiFi functionality is something that is included on most smart phones now days. There are some of them, however, that do not. Luckily, most of them do have a MicroSD slot. This is where the SDW-823 comes in.

This is an immensely useful product. Phones like the CDMA HTC Touch on Sprint, Verizon, and Alltel, do not have built in WiFi functionality. These phones are arguably the top of the line smart phone offering on those carriers, and being able to use WiFi on these devices would be a huge plus.

It was not made known what phones it would support. Of course it is only going to be for smart phones, but it was not said what platforms. No pricing information was given. What we know, is it is going to be finished next month, and released in July.
