Sprint’s WiMAX service is currently only available in Baltimore under the name Xohm. On Wednesday, Sprint announced 10 new markets for its 4G WiMAX service.

Sprint has said that by the end of the year, the mobile provider expects to roll out services across the country. This includes Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Forth Worth, Honolulu, Las Vegas, Philadelphia, Portland and Seattle. Next year, the expansion will continue to Boston, Houston, New York, San Francisco and Washington, D.C.
Xohm was renamed ‘Clear’ in December 2008 after a merger with Clearwire. While spreading their 4G wings, Sprint are also planning a single-mode 4G data card, embedded laptops, a small-office-home-office broadband modem and a tri-mode phone.
