Sprint have confirmed that they will be releasing a new version of the BlackBerry Curve smartphone. The Curve 8350i will feature Nextel Direct Connect for push-to-talk, be first BlackBerry on the network to support Group Connect – which allows up to 20 people to talk at once – and have both WiFi b/g and GPS.
Other features include Bluetooth with support for the A2DP wireless stereo profile, a 2-megapixel camera with flash and video recording, instant messaging and of course email. It will be preloaded with DataViz Documents to Go. Internal memory is 128MB, expandable via microSD, and there’s voice-activated dialling.
Sprint are yet to announce pricing or exact availability for the BlackBerry Curve 8350i. However a leaked roadmap that we saw back in August suggested that the carrier would be releasing the handset in late Q4 2008.
