Vincent swears by his Sprint EVDO Rev. A connection – in fact the carrier should really feature him in an advert for the cellular broadband – and he’ll now have even more opportunity to access it since they’ve just upgraded more areas of New York State (you can see a full location list after the cut). If you don’t know, Rev. A boosts mobile download speeds from 400-700Kbps to 600Kbps-1.4Mbps, and upload speeds from 50-70Kbps to 350-500Kbps.
The roll-out is part of an ongoing upgrade of the existing Rev. 0 network, and Sprint quote that “the vast majority” of their EVDO service has been boosted to the higher speeds. They offer a two-year unlimited-downloads plan for $59.99/mo.
