Overshadowed by its all-inclusive big brother, Sprint actually announced another unlimited plan yesterday: seemingly aimed at more traditional cellphone users, $89.99 a month gets you unlimited voice, messaging and push-to-talk use but leaves out the data, GPS and mobile entertainment functionality.  Personally I’d prefer to see unlimited internet access in there rather than PTT, but it’s still undercutting Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile while offering more than any of them.  Incidentally, Simply Everything’s unlimited data access is clarified in some very small small-print, and you’re unfortunately not allowed to use your handset as a modem hooked up to a laptop. 

The plan is called Talk/Message/Direct Connect Unlimited and Sprint offers the same multiple-line sign-up discount as on Simply Everything.  It’s subject to a two-year contract for new customers.
