The CDMA BlackBerry Curve is getting very close. We already know Verizon is launching their BlackBerry Curve on May 9th. All CDMA carriers are racing to get this device. It looked like Sprint would launch it first, in April. When that fell through, it looked like Alltel would launch it first, on May 1st. May 1st rolls around though, and no Alltel BlackBerry Curve. [BBGeeks' Joe confirms that the smartphone is available on Alltel now] It seemed all but certain Verizon’s May 9th launch would be the CDMA Curve’s premiere.

However, this advertisement began showing up in newspapers across the country. This image is a scan of that advertisement. From the image, we see that the device will cost $179.99 on a new two year contract. This is after a $100 mail in rebate. We now know that the Curve will launch not only in titanium, but in red as well.
Though the advertisement says ‘coming soon’, we have a rumored launch date. This time around, it seems to be May 7th. The date is not confirmed, so do not get too excited yet. I was able to confirm several sources are kicking this date around, so keep your fingers crossed. The final word for this date will come Wednesday.

Well I’m hopeful this time Sprint is playing with its customers after the dreadful way they have dealt with the Curve launch. I’ve been waiting since April 16th and am ready to move to another carrier. They say it will be in Titanium or Red?? I thought it was going to be black? Yet another bummer
