T-Mobile have officially announced the BlackBerry Curve 8320 in Sunset, a bright new color option we first caught sight of at the end of July.  The WiFi-enabled smartphone has a 2-megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth and the usual full QWERTY keyboard, and is the latest handset to be compatible with T-Mobile’s Unlimited HotSpot Calling from T-Mobile (previously called T-Mobile HotSpot @Home).

Unlimited HotSpot Calling is the carrier’s VoIP system, which allows unlimited voice calls to be made via open or T-Mobile WiFi connections. Calls initiated through WiFi can be handed over seamlessly to T-Mobile’s cellular network, and vice versa. Obviously the handset also has the usual BlackBerry browser and messaging system, together with a music and video multimedia player and a microSD slot that supports cards up to 4GB in size.

The Curve 8320 Sunset measures 4.2 x 2.4 x 0.6 inches and weighs 3.9 ounces; the screen is the same 2.5-inch, 320×240 pixel QVGA one as found on other 8320’s and it’s quadband GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz with cellular data speeds maxing out at EDGE. It will be available at select T-Mobile retail stores and online for $149.99 with a new two-year service agreement.
