T-Mobile launched their 3G network in the Philadelphia area ahead of schedule yesterday. And with several new devices headed to T-Mobile very shortly like the HTC Dream, the long-awaited Android phone, this is a good sign all is set for launch day.

At the moment, North and South Philly and Center City along with the area around the airport have been confirmed as having 3G at full speed. Other areas of the city have yet to be explored and evaluated for their connection speeds.

This is just one step toward implementing a 3G network on T-Mobile, and that’s a good thing because many of the carrier’s phones are fully equipped for higher connection speeds and this will help their devices run at their best. And with the upcoming HTC Dream, we can feel the anticipation rising already.
