I ordered this phone and the same day the camera was acting up. Then it worked again, and now 4 weeks later it just randomly stopped working. This has to be the worst T-mobile phone.

Still a very good phone. Picture quality is very good for a mobile phone and I think the mention good for a mobile phone will be a thing of the past. These devices are starting to do more than one thing well. Once we realize that these devices can be more than a cell phone we will stop saying it has a good web browser for a cell phone or it has a decent camera for a cell phone. It's multiple feature device. The pics come out well, yes it has it's flaws in certain lighting situations or if there is lots of movement but it still takes very good pics.

i had the liberty of rying this phone for 2 weeks without contract. Yhe camera is average. It is boasting 8 Megapixels but the cheapest regular pockt cam far exceeds the capabilaties of this phone. Black jackets are green and if you Zoom past 10 feet you will wonder what your shooting. The touchscreen is the worst I have ever experienced. It is non reactive and inconsistant. Samsung is notorious for blurring the facts. The touchscreen does not react, your cheapest pocket phone takes better pictures. Yhe only good thing yo say about this phone is it is good looking. Technically its a disasster. Im a Photogrpher, Yhis is a mediocer phone. Calling it a camera wiuld meen we are blind...........

So yes I have one and i am getting bored with the limited OS. it's too basic and not a lot I can do with the 100MB built in storage. I would love to throw android on there, but I dont want my OS sitting on a removable card. The design is pretty awesome if you are someone who just dont live your live in your phone. I think paying more than 200 buchs is just not worth it as much better phones are coming out.

Update: I am still really liking the Memoir. I downloaded a third party web browswer which gives you full deskttop browing of websites. There is no Flash player on the phone so some sites have a blank space where Flash is being used. The phone is great for texting, however if you have fat fingers you might hit the wrong keys. Overall the touchscreen is very responsive. The pictures that it takes are camera grade quality of a decent point and shoot. There are still moments of lag with the shutter speed but overall it takes a non blurry pic. The darker the light without a flash being used the lower the quality and it looks more like a standar cell phone pic. The video quality is very good like I mentioned before. I wish there were more opportunities for taking vids. I think just pulling your phone out in public can be a bit odd at times of people see you taking your phone out and pointing it at them...haha

This is a very good device. Got it about 3 weeks ago and I am still playing around with it. It's a nice new toy. I do like the touchwiz but it's a bit sensitive sometimes and will launch something that you didn't intend to. The web browswer is pretty decent on here. It renders full website pages quite well but lets not forget we are only on a 3" screen and Flash is not supported so full functionality is not happening. The images do load well on most major heavy graphic sites. Scroll is very smooth on screen. I downloaded Opera Mini as well and it downloads pages quite fast. It actually compresses the pages more so than the pre-installed Netfront browswer. I've been on 3G and Edge and quite frankly you don't notice much difference in speed so if you are in an area with only Edge I wouldn't not get the phone because of that.
The camera is very very good for a mobile phone. It's more like a camera with a phone. The video quality is impressive enough to use on the fly should you be someplace and want to capture the moment.
The phone feels very good in the hand. I would recommend getting a screen protector, although it's a tough screen. I got a rubberized case to put around the phone. The phone looks nice with it but it definitley looks nicer in it's fine quality finish without the cover. Battery life is a bit low and that's one big thing so far that I'm not as happy with.
It's not an Iphone or G1 in regards to installing new applications so if that's what you want, then get the iphone. Overall appearance and functionality for what you get enterainment wise you can't beat it right now. I don't need to carry another camera with me in mini trips. Another quick thing, The pre-installed email client is a joke. It's Java based and it's slow and limited with funtionality. I would say if you want a phone for corporate email then get a Blackberry. You can still access sites for email if you need to get email on the fly but it's a little more work. Also, it would've been nice to have a flashing message light on the phone someplace while it's in sleep mode so you know you have a message. You have to take the phone out of sleep mode to see if you have a new text message. Overall, great phone and I'm glad I made the upgrade. Some reviews out there are not very easy on this phone. I don't know what else people are expecting from a semi smart phone. It has more bells and whistles than anyone needs on a daily basis. 4.9 Stars out of 5 for this one.
