The new T-Mobile Sidekick was announced yesterday. It is powered by Danger and brings customization to a whole new level for a phone. In fact, you can use personal photos or designs to create a custom shell for your phone. The shell is removable, so after visiting www.sidekickshells.com, you can create your own and it will be printed and shipped to you.

Media sharing over Bluetooth, instant messaging, and video capture are also included, bringing software updates to this new model. Group chat is also available IM service.

When this product was churning around in the rumor mill, it was called the Sidekick Gekko, just so you know.
