While there's quite a range of choice for in-car Bluetooth hands-free speakerphones, many of them require either regular recharging or a 12V hook-up via the cigarette lighter socket. If you're like me, that socket it already taken up by your GPS, so you either swap between (and cope with what seems like miles of cabling snaking all over the dashboard) ...

We've had a soft-spot for OtterBox's cases since Vincent ran one over back in 2006 (you should see what he does to the products he dislikes!), so it's nice to see they're expanding their range to include the BlackBerry Pearl 8120 and 8130. The cases fit into he company's Defender range, meaning they offer drop & shock protection, protection against ...

Sony Ericsson have filed a patent for a water, dust and sand resistant removable cellphone case, the focus of which is creating something easy to fit and remove despite having a resilient seal around the snap-on cap. They've also chosen to illustrate the application with possibly the worst images I've seen from such a document; seriously, I'm thinking they must've ...

Acecad have added Bluetooth to their DigiMemo electronic notepad so that you can now send messages written on paper as email or MMS directly through your cellphone. The DigiMemo, a digital clipboard which uses a special pen to record anything a user writes and stores it in flash memory, previously required a USB connection to a computer to transfer, analyse and perform ...

I'm notorious for leaving my phone on vibrate and missing numerous calls, so while this BluAlert vibrating Bluetooth wristband might look a bit silly, the concept behind it is surprisingly alluring. After pairing it with your cellphone - it shows up as a headset or hands-free device in the Bluetooth pairing menu - whenever you get a call the battery-powered wristband vibrates ...

Unlike Texas Instruments, who are only predicting 2009 for pico-projectors to hit the market, Samsung are apparently roaring ahead with their Micro Projector for cellphones. The compact box can project an image 10 to 20-inches onto the nearest surface, making it ideal for reviewing photos and mobile TV as well as setting up impromptu video calls.

Sony Ericsson's latest hands-free kit sets out to solve one of those annoying in-car problems: knowing who's calling you without having to pick up the phone itself to glance at the display. Instead of relying solely on a secondary screen, the HCB-150 features text-to-speech, so the Bluetooth unit simply tells you who is interrupting your commute.

More and more smartphones are getting GPS as standard, but the majority of handsets still don't feature the satellite technology yet are capable of running suitable direction software. For just such users, Nokia has developed the LD-4W: a Bluetooth-enabled GPS fob that measures just 3.26 x 1.45 x 0.3 inches yet still packs a SirfStar III-LT chipset. Small enough to hang ...

It's not that my mom & dad don't trust me, it's just that there are millions of strange people out there who might get up to mischief with me on the phone. That's their excuse for always making me talk to friends on speakerphone so they can supervise the conversations, and now it'll be even easier with Callpod's Phoenix Bluetooth headset hub. ...
