Rumors are flying that the Blackberry Storm 2 is set to hit Verizon very soon. Before the new device hits Verizon shelves, the old and maligned Storm will have to be cleared off shelves.

Following the success of BlackBerry Storm --currently sits just behind the iPhone in terms of numbers-- Jim Balsillie, co-chief of Research in Motion revealed that more touchscreen BlackBerrys are on the way. In the near future, a second version of BlackBerry Storm seems imminent as one of the plan's line-ups.

We started off this week with the leak of the BlackBerry Storm 4.7.0.85 firmware. It seems RIM just can't seem to keep these updates from getting out to the public before the official release.
