Nokia has just released their N78 in the US featuring a candy bar style build. It comes in three different colors, the pretty black shown here, a brown and then a blue and white one as well. continued »

TIPA names N82 best mobile imaging device in Europe

Posted on 23 April 2008 by Chase Higgins

No real surprise here, but the Nokia N82, a flagship Nseries device, has won the TIPA(Technical Image Press Association) award for the best mobile imaging device in Europe. This is quite an accomplishment, as even though living here you would not see it, but there are quite a few 5 megapixel camera phones across the pond. Several are very good ... continued »

Sony Ericsson HCB-150 speakerphone announces callers

Posted on 13 February 2008 by Chris Davies

Sony Ericsson's latest hands-free kit sets out to solve one of those annoying in-car problems: knowing who's calling you without having to pick up the phone itself to glance at the display.  Instead of relying solely on a secondary screen, the HCB-150 features text-to-speech, so the Bluetooth unit simply tells you who is interrupting your commute. continued »

N78 from Nokia with WiFi & HSDPA

Posted on 11 February 2008 by Chris Davies

Listen to Nokia and they'll tell you the N78 is intended for "new discoveries"; I'm not so sure about the media hyperbole, but if you've been holding out for a S60 handset with A-GPS, a reasonably well-spec'd camera, WiFi and HSDPA, the N78 has the capacity to satisfy with functionality to spare.  Quadband GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz) and dualband (850/1900MHz for the ... continued »

N96 is Nokia’s new flagship smartphone

Posted on 11 February 2008 by Chris Davies

We caught a glimpse of it last week, when Nokia Germany prematurely updated their site, but today Nokia have officially announced the N96 smartphone.  An update to the popular N95, over 7 million of which were sold, the N96 adopts the manufacturer's current high-gloss style while updating the long spec-list that prompted so much interest in its predecessor.  Quadband GSM ... continued »

Nokia N82 reviewed: excellent media but at a cost

Posted on 06 February 2008 by Chris Davies

WirelessInfo's Alfredo Padilla has posted an insanely detailed review of the Nokia N82, the Finnish company's latest do-anything cellphone that packs GPS, WiFi, HSDPA and a 5-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and xenon flash.  Alfredo is pretty blunt about the handset, liking the well-integrated functionality, rated the camera as "among the best we've seen" and pegged the video capture as ... continued »

Nokia N96 smartphone in the flesh!

Posted on 01 January 2008 by Vincent Nguyen

The new Nokia N96 looks a lot like the form factor of the N81, which I really like. So this is what Nokia’s next flagship handset looks like? Quite honestly, there is nothing here that looks to be innovative or yells out “wow I have to have it.” Perhaps I should hold my judgments until the product is ... continued »
