Sony Ericsson may have announced their first 8.1-megapixel camera-phone recently, but the budget end of their CyberShot range has more humble optics. The Sony Ericsson C510 is a straightforward candybar aimed at the free-on-contract market; even so, there's still a fair amount of camera hyperbole. Digicam replacement or snappy pretender? AT&T have launched the Samsung Magnet, the candybar messaging handset first confirmed for the carrier back at the end of April. Fitted with a full QWERTY keyboard and numerous messaging shortcuts, the Magnet is a bright orange slab of entry-level simplicity.

Before you get all excited over these two new all-touch phones by Samsung, don't. There is no mentioning whether they'll make it stateside. The S5600 and S5230 are feature phones with Samsung's TouchWiz user interface. Verizon have announced their latest slider, the Samsung Sway SCH-u650. 0.47-inches thick, with a silver finish and 2.2-inch display, the Sway features a 2-megapixel camera with NightShot, media player functionality and A2DP stereo Bluetooth support. The Pantech C610 is AT&T's latest low-cost clamshell, with 3G HSDPA, AGPS with support for AT&T Navigator, a 1.3-megapixel camera with video recording functionality and A2DP stereo Bluetooth. There's also access to AT&T's Mobile Music streaming and download service, AT&T streaming video content and AT&T Video Share.
