FCC dismiss Skype’s open-access ‘Carterfone’ petition

Nokia 7070 Prism: unusual on the outside, bland on the inside

Nokia has unveiled the latest in its avant-garde Prism series of cellphones, the 7070 clamshell.  While the typical Prism diamond shell may be present, the guts of the 7070 are altogether more mundane; running the Series 40 OS, two versions of the dualband GSM handset are planned (EGSM900/1800 and EGSM850/1900) with GPRS, email and 11MB of internal memory.  continued »

Microsoft Surface interactive touchscreen tablet to feature in AT&T stores

Microsoft have announced that their Surface multitouch table will be stomping its way into several AT&T stores from April 17th, with the 30-inch touchscreen giving potential cellphone buyers information about handsets, coverage and service plans. Quake on Qualcomm Android prototype cellphone

Qualcomm have demonstrated an Android prototype cellphone capable of playing Quake, and PHONE Mag have the video of it in action! The device, which uses Qualcomm's 3D hardware graphics acceleration to give 30fps VGA gaming, is intended to demonstrate the potential for gaming and GUI design on the Android platform. Qualcomm mirasol low-power display picked for budget device & smartphone
