HTC CEO Peter Chou has said that there will not be an Android version of the slick HD2 coming. Chou pointed out that HTC could make an Android version of the HD2, but it has to "take care of Windows mobile."

Sprint recently announced that it was getting its first Android powered smartphone called the HTC Hero. Today Sprint announced that it has added developer support for the Hero and other future Android devices to its Developer Support Website.

The HTC Hero has been issued a firmware update that is now available for users to download on the UK HTC download page. The update improves several functions of the device to make it faster and more stable.

I just mentioned that Sprint has announced that it will be offering the HTC Hero on its network starting on October 11. I loathe mail-in rebates and I mentioned that Sprint was offering a $100 one on the Hero.
