Motorola’s i890 CABO pictured

Posted on 27 May 2008 by Chase Higgins

Motorola is the main purveyor of iDEN after all, so it only makes sense that they release some hot phones on the aging network. With Dan Hesse himself announcing that Nextel would receive an influx of new devices, it only seemed natural that a device like this would find its way into the Nextel stores around the country. continued »

Motorola removes iDEN firmware update utility

Posted on 10 May 2008 by Chase Higgins

The firmware upgrade utility provided my Motorola for their iDEN handsets has been removed from their site. Also, no reason was given for the abrupt removal. The removal of the utility comes as a shock, as the utility has been a very useful tool for iDEN subscribers the world over. In the United States, this news affects Nextel subscribers. continued »

Motorola CABO iDEN handset

Posted on 28 January 2008 by Vincent Nguyen

I’m as shocked as Engadget with the newly design of what appears to be Motorola’s new iDEN phone, the Cabo. It takes on a similar form-factor as the RAZR 2, but with better features like a 3-megapxiel camera, larger (looking) external touch screen. There’s support for Bluetooth, and takes SD card size up to 6GB. continued »
