Opera Mini, one of the world’s best mobile web browsers, continues to grow and impress us. In March 2009, more than 23 million people used Opera Mini and those users viewed more than 8.6 billion pages. I think global operators would love to know this: Opera Mini already served 148 million MB of data to handsets worldwide!

There was some speculation by Forbes earlier that the browser maker Opera might partner up with carriers to offer Opera Mini on new wireless devices. According to Forbes, there would have been an official announcement at the CTIA Wireless conference coming up in April.

Mozilla's mobile browser Fennec was originally to be developed for Windows Mobile and Linux, but now it looks like Symbian S60 will be getting this long awaited browser after all.
