Apparently Sprints Voluntary Separation Program (VSP) that they put in place is not doing as well as they had initially hoped. To their surprise many of their employees did not want to willingly give up their jobs with today's economy the way it is and the employment rate being so high.

Sprint has announced that their first dual-mode CDMA/mobile WiMAX modems will be commercially available by the end of the year. This move will mark the end of the Xohm brand, which was launched back in August of 2007.

Sprint have confirmed that they will be releasing a new version of the BlackBerry Curve smartphone. The Curve 8350i will feature Nextel Direct Connect for push-to-talk, be first BlackBerry on the network to support Group Connect - which allows up to 20 people to talk at once - and have both WiFi b/g and GPS.
