I guess all of the new pre-paid mobile phone services and offerings that have been hitting the market lately are aimed at getting students heading back to school to subscribe. Prepaid mobile phone services are popular with students because they are cheap.

Of the wireless providers around the country, the biggest are Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and T-mobile. Those may be the largest and best-known providers in the country, but there are also a number of other providers in the country as well like MetroPCS.

Many mobile phone users prefer pre-paid services to services where you have to sign a contract and be tied to one provider for at least two years. There are a number of pre-paid providers on the market for consumers to choose from and today that number has increased by one.
