Motorola is the main purveyor of iDEN after all, so it only makes sense that they release some hot phones on the aging network. With Dan Hesse himself announcing that Nextel would receive an influx of new devices, it only seemed natural that a device like this would find its way into the Nextel stores around the country.

A jaunty looking David Beckham helped Motorola Korea launch their RAZR2 Luxury Edition today, seemingly the next stage in their "we're going down the pan, let's launch a wildly-overpriced special edition" strategy; the 18K gold and snakeskin-effect leather handset is otherwise identical to a normal RAZR2, which means a basic 2-megapixel camera, 2GB of memory and a 2.2-inch internal display.

I’m as shocked as Engadget with the newly design of what appears to be Motorola’s new iDEN phone, the Cabo. It takes on a similar form-factor as the RAZR 2, but with better features like a 3-megapxiel camera, larger (looking) external touch screen. There’s support for Bluetooth, and takes SD card size up to 6GB.

Apple reported best first quarter earnings with revenue of $9.6 billion (that’s billion with a BIG B). I don’t get a dime from the iPhone’s success other than the priceless looks on the face of all those so-called “analysts” who spoke ill of the iPhone.
