For a long time one of the more popular devices on the T-Mobile network was the Sidekick line from Danger. There are many Sidekick devices on the network and every one of them has been having a data outage over the last few days that are still happening.

The Sidekick LX 2009 version will be equipped by 3G/GPS capabilities, a 3.2 megapixel camera, pre-installed social networking softwares, 3.2-inch WVGA screen and microSD card slot. The most important thing: the next Sidekick will run the NetBSD, an open source OS.

There were rumors that there would be firmware updates for T-Mobile's Sidekick LX on June 25th, turns out that date was a little off. The update will actually be rolling out this week. It will include video capability, stereo Bluetooth support, an integrated alarm clock and several other little tidbits.
