Toshiba has launched a new smartphone in Japan called the T-01A that is the first mobile device to use the new Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. Qualcomm has announced a new addition to its line of Snapdragon chipsets. The new chipset promises to improve the performance of smartphones and improve the battery life as well as enhancing both 2D and 3D graphics. HTC is expected to launch Qualcomm Snapdragon-based mobile devices in the second quarter of 2009, DigiTimes reported. Toshiba just announced the TG01, a 9.9mm thick Windows Mobile 6.1 smartphone,  featuring their own 3D user interface.
