Last weekend was the first weekend that the Motorola Droid was available to purchase on the Verizon network. Official sales figures are not available, but analysts predict about 100,000 Droids were sold opening weekend.

It looks like Telus is going to be the latest to carry the Samsung m540. We know this phone here in the US as the Samsung Rant, but in Canada it will be known as the Slyde. The Samsung m540 will not only be under a different name and include different branding but will also come in Black and Pink.
