Sprint is adding new handsets at a furious pace in an attempt to throw more handsets at the problem of dwindling subscriber numbers. Sprint has historically suffered from a lack of compelling handsets and more choice is always good for customers.

We have already heard about the HTC Touch Pro 2 smartphone. The device landed on the T-Mobile network back in mid-August. Sprint has announced today that the smartphone will be coming to its network on September 8.

I think most of us can agree that we don’t like it when phone makers use proprietary or other than standard connectors on devices like mobile phones. One of the things I dislike most is when a phone maker puts a smaller or larger than standard headphone jack on a device so I can't connect other headphones to it.
