The rumor mill is operating at full swing this fine Saturday morning, and this one is a biggie. It is being suggested that Deutsche Telekom is considering buying out Sprint Nextel. You read it right, buy them out. There are quite a few sources reporting this now, and while it is only wild speculation, it does present an interesting idea, ...

T-Mobile has made good on their promise to get 3G up and running by this summer. Yesterday, in New York City, the first reports of the service were given. Contrary to earlier reports, there is data access. It is not clear if it will stay that way, as T-Mobile could very well honor their earlier statement, and make it voice ...

You have to be kidding me. I read this at least three times to make sure my eyes were not deceiving me. It seems, through a memo T-Mobile handed to Engadget, that they will not be allowing any data on the UMTS network that launches tomorrow in New York. As a T-Mobile customer, I am crushed. Just as I am ...

According to a document claimed to be from the carrier themselves, NYC will be the first of over twenty cities to be 3G-enabled by the end of the year. Despite AT&T rolling some corporate heads recently, they have made a knock out quarter for themselves, and earnings are up, way up. Looks like all that talk of a stumbling economy, did not affect AT&T as hard as they were thinking. They owe at least some of this success to huge growth in the wireless data sector. Overall, AT&T saw ...

Whether you think EV-DO Rev.A wipes the floor with HSDPA or vice versa, one thing most people can agree on is that high-speed cellular data access is A Good Thing. That's why T-Mobile USA's lack of a 3G network has been such an embarrassment for the carrier. Now, according to TmoNews, they're planning an imminent roll-out of their UMTS system, ...

Out of Toshiba's G-Series Portégé cellphones, the most unusual was the tri-circular G450; intended to only do duty as an occasional handset, its primary purpose was to provide UMTS/HSDPA cellular broadband to a laptop via its built-in USB connectivity. Crave UK have been playing with one and, for £100 ($194), come away surprisingly impressed. While standard phone functions are made ...

In case you’ve missed it, the Samsung F490 is the keyboardless cousin to the Croix or F700v. It has a 5MP camera, a 3.2” touchscreen with some sort of pseudo haptic feedback system, and it has the same UI as the Croix.

The ASUS M930, not to be mistaken for Toshiba Portege G910 device was caught in the wild by the staffers at TamsWMS. Based on his feedbacks, I can almost tell you that the device is sadly unimpressive. For starters, pricing at 500 to 600 EURO, you’d expect the M930 to be nothing but a bundle of love and ...
