Sprint XOHM WiMAX launches: Laptops, modems & pricing

Sprint officially announced their XOHM WiMAX network in Baltimore today, and Phone Magazine were there for the launch.  XOHM promises average downlink speeds of 2-4 Mbps and uplink rates of 1-2 Mbps, with coverage initially in Baltimore and in Chicago, DC, Dallas, Fort Worth, Providence, Boston and Philadelphia over the coming months. C-Motech introduces first dual-mode WiMax EVDO USB dongle at CTIA

C-Motech showed off the world's first dual mode WiMax EVDO USB dongle at CTIA Wireless 2008 and it's quite a versatile little bugger. AT&T USBConnect Mercury HSPA modem & microSD reader

AT&T have announced a new USB cellular modem, the USBConnect Mercury.  The smallest modem to date in the company's HSPA range, AT&T are claiming the Mercury can achieve download speeds of up to 1.7Mbps and upload speeds of up to 1.2Mbps on their network. Sierra Wireless Compass 597 USB EV-DO modem with GPS & microSD

Sierra Wireless today announced their latest USB EV-DO Rev.A modem, the Compass 597, which distinguishes itself from rivals by virtue of both an in-built GPS receiver and the facility to connect an external antenna for areas of poor reception.  A microSD slot is also present for adding memory and using the stick as a portable storage device. continued »
