The sheer number of smartphones that are lost or stolen around the world each month is staggering. According to reports, about 10 million phones are stolen each month in the UK alone. No more waiting list or promotional codes, Microsoft has upgraded its My Phone web portal and opened it to public. The web upgrade includes enabling 19 additional languages, adding a video demo and providing Help content.

The Windows Mobile development team announced via Twitter that Windows Mobile 6.5 is “done.” According to Mary Jo Foley, “done” means it has been released to manufacturing.

A bit late than expected, Microsoft has finally introduced an official Facebook app for Windows Mobile 6 and Windows Mobile 6.1. It's also reported that the app will run on Windows Mobile 6.5 "later this year."

Over at SlashGear we've been video unboxing the latest Windows Mobile smartphone, HTC's deeply impressive Touch Diamond2. Announced at Mobile world Congress in Barcelona last February, the HTC Touch Diamond2 has a 3.2-inch WVGA touchscreen, WiFi b/g, 3G HSDPA, GPS and the latest version of HTC's own TouchFLO 3D interface.
