This has been a big summer for the smartphone fan. First the Palm Pre launched, then it was followed quickly by the iPhone 3GS and we still have the HTC Hero to look forward to. The BlackBerry Tour hit Verizon this weekend as well.

Along with the new Tour for Verizon comes a new version of the navigation application from TeleNav. Verzion 5.5 of TeleNav GPS Navigator supports the Verizon Blackberry Tour and offers the features you expect in a high-end navigation solution.

The app offers turn-by-turn voice guided directions, always up to date maps, real-time traffic, gas price information, a massive POI database, and voice entry. The downside to the navigation app is that there is a monthly fee of $9.99 to use it.
