TELUS have announced availability of the Motorola Q9c smartphone, although it seems they are only selling the sober ‘licorice’ version rather than vivid lime green handset offered by Alltel and US Cellular. Running Windows Mobile 6 Standard, the Q9c has EV-DO, a 1.3-megapixel camera with fixed-focus and flash, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP and GPS through TELUS Nagivator.

The Q9c measures 117 mm x 65 mm x 11.9 mm, weighs 135 grams and has a 2.4″ 320 x 240 65K colour TFT display. TELUS are quoting a disturbingly precise 273 minutes of talktime (or up to 6 days standby) and, looking at the handset pricing, would really like you to take out a three-year contract:
- 3 year contract for CAN$149.99
- 2 year contract for CAN$349.99
- 1 year contract for CAN$399.99
- Handset only for CAN$449.99
The TELUS Q9c is available now.
