Apple has really managed to do something amazing by cramming a lot of very useful features into a very beautiful package. There are constant reminders of the failed attempts by other companies to bring users all the great features that we love about mobile phones, all while keeping the phone from becoming an ugly mass.
The IcePhone Next Gen WinMo Communicator has managed to bring a lot of good features to users, but at a very costly price. If you must have it all it certainly won’t be pretty, the IcePhone has three panels for a variety of functions. They have managed to fit a full QWERTY keyboard, 3” touchscreen display, mouse track pad with gaming controls, 2 SIM cards and many more gadgets into a compact phone that is a bit larger than the Nokia N95.
The IcePhone is a GSM Quadband handset, with .2 Mbps HSDPA UMTS 2100 connectivity, Built-in GPS, Wi-Fi b/g, 1250 mAh battery, Windows Mobile 6.0 Pro, 3″ 240×400 pixels 65K color transflective TFT touchscreen, Freescale iMX31 532 Mhz CPU and 3,1-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash. All of this comes in a convenient 127 × 60.8 × 23.3 mm 210g package. The IcePhone will be hitting store shelves in Thailand soon with a release in the UK in March-April 2009. While we do not now the exact price, the expected retail price is going to be just under $1000.
