As we just heard, there is a hot rumor on this week-end: the next Google Android-powered handset, the second HTC-built phone for the T-Mobile: the unconfirmed G2.
After T-Mobile blog CellPhone Signal broke the news by posted a list of new features it claimed would be in the G2 and mentioned the device’s release will be on January 26, 2009; BGR just published the device’s picture and corrected the launch date to be on April 2009 due to software issues.
As the picture showed us, this device has no physical QWERTY keyboard (which I hate personally) and a full touchscreen. The trackball at the bottom is going to stay.
The menu’s icons looks neat and nice. Of course, Google will keep coming up with their latest cool applications in order to make the next Android phone can compete in the industry.
It’s said that after the G2, a G3 handset is supposed to follow. Seems, the names (G1, G2, G3, etc) are trademarks of T-Mobile.
The new device’s features including:
- Android OS
- 3G capable ( where available)
- Full touch Screen

is goole going to release Google Android-powered phone for verizon, or AT&T wireless
No QWERTY keyboard? How do you type? I use my G1 for blogging on the move. Is the G2 aimed more at voice operations?
