One of the things that I like about the iPhone and its new OS is that you can use the device as a real and full featured GPS device. You can get all that stuff the high-end GPS units offer like live traffic and more. I particularly like the gas price feature that many GPS devices offer.

TomTom is one of the biggest names in GPS and it has announced the official pricing for its iPhone navigation kit for the UK. The kit will sell for £99 plus VAT, amounting to about $168. The kit includes a windscreen mount, a charger, amplified speakers, a hands free kit, and a separate GPS dongle.
While TomTom doesn’t specify if the iPhone app requires a monthly subscription, at the price we are betting it’s a one-time charge. That’s not cheap, you can get a plain TomTom GPS for that, but you would miss the features that need internet connectivity.
