Two new Kyocera CDMA handsets unveiled

The G2GO M2000 (pronounced “Good-to-Go”) and Laylo M1400 from Kyocera were announced today during the CTIA Wireless 2009. The two models developed to the “need for affordability and value in today’s challenging economy”.


Kyocera Communications Inc. (KCI), is a the newly formed sales, marketing and service organization for Kyocera and Sanyo branded wireless devices in the Americas. Of the two models, the G2GO M2000 is a follow-up to the very successful Lingo M1000 QWERTY handset, the Kyocera G2GO M2000 sports a stylish design with slide-out QWERTY keypad. The Laylo M1400 is a slider with a bright 2.2-inch contoured QVGA display.

Additional specifications include for the G2GO M2000, bluetooth, 2.4-inch QVGA display, 1.3 megapixel camera with dedicated key, digital zoom and photo editing as well as MP3, voice tags, voice digit-dialing and voice response. Dimensions are 113 x 52 x 17 mm, weighs 120 grams with up to 250 minutes of talk time and 200 hours standby. The Laylo M1400 at 94.7 x 46.7 x 17.0 mm and weighing only 90 g also has up to 200 minutes of talk time and 200 hours standby. The model also has a VGA camera with digital zoom for quick snaps, Bluetooth, a WAP 2.0 browser and is both BREW 3.1.5 and JAVA enabled.
