We now know what that mystery HTC smart phone we showed you is. It is the MDA Compact IV, which is set to be a T-Mobile exclusive. It is a little more apparent after seeing this photograph taken of the dummy of the phone at an event last month. It is important to note, that in some aspects they are not alike. The screen on this phone has a curved line at the bottom, while on the mystery device, it is a straight line.
The features on this updated version of the MDA are going to be formidable. They include Windows Mobile 6.1, VGA resolution screen, with HSDPA connectivity. It will also have Wifi, GPS, and will include 4GB of internal storage space. Hopefully, it will also support MicroSD expansion, as 4GB is not an awful lot of memory now days.
Looking at the picture now, it is clear that two of the devices in the bottom row are in fact this new MDA Compact IV. The first device, while it looks similar, does not appear to be the new MDA. As to what it is, it could very well be the Dream. Windows Mobile could be running on it just to keep it busy until Android drops on us.

We can’t forget one thing. T-mobile sayed in Cebit that MDA Compact IV was a T-Mobile exclusive design. So it’s natural that the HTC version has another design…
