According to good old-fashioned anonymous tipsters, Verizon Wireless is prepping their own, CDMA version of the Samsung F700/U940 which is provisionally titled “Q-Ball”.  Bizarre the name might be, but the handset should be popular, especially if Verizon can get their act together and release it by the Q1 estimated launch date.

While the U940 is ostensibly the same as the Samsung F700v, it does have a less powerful camera - 2-megapixels rather than 3 - and Verizon are likely to slap their own interface on which could, if not done carefully, make an entire dog’s dinner of the whole affair.
