Verizon renews agreement with Boingo

One of the ways that wireless providers sweeten the pot for mobile broadband subscribers is by offering free access to Wi-Fi hotspots around the country. Most of the major wireless providers offer free access in coffee shops and airports around the nation.

Verizon Wireless and Boingo have announced that their Wi-Fi agreement has been extended an additional four years. The new master agreement also gives Verizon the right to extend services provided to Verizon Business to other business units.

Boingo is the world’s largest operator of neutral host airport hotspots with networks in nearly 60 different locations in the U.S., UK, and Canada. It also offers access to thousands of other hotspots around the world.
