Verizon responds to FCC complaint, DROID Eris gets cheap, Google Nexus One coming Jan 5?

The FCC has hit Verizon Wireless with a complaint that has to do with the company’s early termination fees and mobile web charges. Verizon dismisses one claim that it charges wireless users who accidentally connect online $1.99.

Best Buy Mobile is offering the HTC DROID Eris free to Reward Zone silver subscribers. The free offer requires no mail-in rebates but does require a 2-year contract.

That Google Nexus One smartphone has been spied with increasing frequency recently. A new rumor says that the handset is set to launch on January 5.
